Introduction Of Cast Steel Globe Valve
Cast steel GLOBE VALVE are also known as stop valve,
which is one of the most widest-used valves. The reason why globe valves
are popular is because that the friction force is small during the
opening and closing process, so it is quite durable, it is not difficult
to open, and it is easy to make, it is convenient to maintain, so globe
valves are suitable for the occasions with low, middle or high
pressure. The open and close principle of globe valves is that relying
on the pressure of valve lever, globe valve can make the sealed side of
the valve closely contact with the sealed side of valve seat so as to
avoid the flowing of media. And globe valves only allow media to flow in
one way, so when it is installed, it has directional feature.
The hoist piece of cast steel globe valve
is the plug-shaped valve, and the sealed side is shown as the plane
surface or conical surface, the valve is doing linear movement along
with the middle line of fluid. The closed piece is moving along with the
middle line of valve seat, so such valve is globe valve. According to
the moved form of valve, the change of the passing way in valve seat is
proportional relationship with valve movement. As the opening or closed
movement of valve lever in such valve is relatively short, so globe
valve has very reliable cut-off capacity, as the change of the passing
way in valve seat is proportional relationship with valve movement, so
flanged globe valveis very suitable for regulating of flowing volume.
Therefore, such valve is very suitable to be used as cut-off flow or
regulating flow.
Cast steel globe valve belongs
to the forced sealed valve, therefore when the valve shuts down, it
must give force to the valve so as to force the sealed side not to leak.
When the medium enters the valve by the below of the valve, the
resistance which the operation strength needs to overcome is the thrust
generated by the friction of valve lever and the padding as well as the
pressure of media, and the strength to close valve is bigger than the
strength to open valve, therefore the diameter of valve lever must big,
otherwise, it will have break-down of curved top in valve lever. In
recent years, since the sealed valve has appeared, the media
flowing-direction of globe valve is changed into entering the valve
cavity from the above of valve. At this time, under the function of
media pressure, strength to close valve is small, while the strength to
open valve is big, so the diameter of valve lever must be accordingly
reduced. Meanwhile, under the function of media, such kind of valve is
relatively tight.
