Parker Hannifin Offers High-Integrity Ball Valve for Process Isolation Applications

2012-10-12

The ball VALVE features a forged body and a bolted construction to ensure installation security, according to the company.

Designed for use with liquid or gas, the new process ball valve uses the same technology as Parker Hannifin??s Hi-Pro range of ball valves.

The valve employs a two-piece body construction, with the end plate secured by four bolts. This ensures the body cannot be unscrewed accidentally in the field, when connecting or disconnecting threaded fittings on the valve or adjacent components.

Key information
The valve is offered in a range of sizes and with a variety of connection schemes.
It is available with a range of bore sizes, from 0.5in to 2in, and a choice of tube connection schemes, including welded and NPT male and female fittings.
The valve is manufactured from three principal components: the body, the end plate and the insert. This eliminates a potential leakage path.
It is fully bidirectional and is actuated by a 90?? turn for fast on/off action.
The ball valve is fabricated from duplex stainless steel as standard, with super-duplex available as an option, and is offered in NACE and HCT versions.
As standard, the valves feature PTFE packing and a PTFE valve seat; a PEEK valve seat material is available as an option.
Parker??s process ball VALVE is firesafe to API 607 and BS6755 Part 2 and is available in 800 and 2000 Class versions, suitable for operating pressures up to 6,000psi (414 bar).
