Supplier of Small Valves for High Temperature Service
We are currently designing a pilot plant and will need small (1/2" -1") isolation and pressure relief valves for 750 degrees C design temp, 10 barg design pressure, natural gas and nitrogen medium.the plant will be run for less than 700hours.Have been looking at metal seat ball valves, but ranges I have found seem to start at 4".Can anyone recommend any valve manufacturers I can talk to ? I would try southern California valve, they are located in Houston Texas. Talk to a Josh Smith, tell him David sent you. You might want to try EVS in Stafford, TX (outside Houston) - evsvalves.comThey make a neat little small severe service ball valve, down to 1/2". It might be overkill for your application, with it being non-corrosives, but at 750C, maybe not. Marvin is the brains behind the operation, the designer of the valve. They have a blow-hard, loud talking sales monkey that hopefully you can avoid (Paul I think). If you need anything larger, like a traditional cast-body ball valve, 1-1/2" or 2" and up, in metal-seated, high-temp, talk to Vintrol in Oklahoma City (405-261-0770, vintrol.com). Ask for Mike, he's the engineer who will eventually have to be involved even if you deal with one of the sales monkeys first. (They have a couple of pretty good guys though, James and Damon.) Vintrol supplies the larger sizes to EVS, and vice versa. (You can buy the small EVS valves through Vintrol.)
